HUMANE & SUSTAINABLE
Chippin Cricket Superfood for Pups & Planet
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Chippin, from ingredient sourcing to packaging. We believe that healthy nutrition for our dogs does not have to come at the expense of our environment.
THE FOOD OUR PUPS EAT PLAYS A KEY ROLE IN THE ENVIRONMENT.
Together we can save water and reduce our footprint. All with nutritious and powerful foods.
WATER SCARCITY & TRADITIONAL PROTEIN
80 % of water in the US is used for food production.
The production of traditional meat is an incredibly resource-intensive practice.
And it's not just food for humans: 90M dogs in the U.S. alone play a key role in our food system.

WHAT CAN WE DO?
Cricket Protein is the viable solution.
A protein-rich diet is good for our pups; cricket protein is a complete protein that uses far less water.
Each 5 oz bag of Chippin snacks saves 40 gallons of water on average over any other dog treats.
GREENHOUSE GASES & TRADITIONAL PROTEIN
Livestock: the primary source of methane emissions.
Domestic livestock produce large amounts of methane as part of their normal digestive processes. Methane emissions have more than 20 times the global warming potential as CO2 over a 100-year period.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
Crickets produce zero methane.
Unlike livestock, crickets do not emit any methane gas. By feeding your pup Chippin's cricket protein based snacks you can reduce your footprint.
Human Grade Crickets, Humanely Harvested
We source our high quality protein from a family-owned farm in Canada.
Humane & Sustainable
From Farm to Snack
Crickets (Gryllodes sigillatus) have a lifespan of 6-10 weeks. Shortly after they reproduce, crickets naturally die.
Harvesting occurs at the end of their life cycle by lowering the temperature of the farm. The crickets are boiled in hot water to sterilize, and the cleaned crickets are ground into fine powder.
The cricket protein is then blended with premium ingredients and oven-baked in small batches.
Not only are crickets a complete protein, but they also have a high Omega -3 to -6 ratio and are rich in vitamin B-12. The cricket protein used in Chippin products is sourced from Entomo Farms.
Crickets compared to Traditional Meats
Crickets serve as a healthy and sustainable alternative protein for dogs. Dogs are prone to allergies to proteins found in meats such as beef and chicken.
Compared to these traditional meats, crickets have a higher protein and vitamin B12 content.
Reviews: Pups Love the Taste!
Ashley, Pet Parent to Bonita, Bandit & Benji
Our pups absolutely loved these treats. Usually our oldest boy is a picky eater when it comes to snacks but he gobbled these up as fast as he possibly could. These will definitely be a staple in our doggie pantry.
Donna, Pet Parent to Shadow
Shadow is a mini labradoodle that refuses to eat treats. To my surprise, he loved these treats! In addition, he has a highly sensitive stomach and did not experience tummy issues! Highly recommend!!!
We even made our packaging sustainable.
In partnership with TerraCycle, we offer a free recycling program for everyone who purchases our Chippin cricket protein snacks.
